Lunch

Boar's Head cold cuts
All Boar's Head is gluten-free but you must ask the deli counter server to wipe down the slicer before cutting your order to avoid contamination from a prior order. (If you forget, don't worry; just throw out the top and bottom slice of your order.)

protein salads
Egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad are all gluten-free if you make them from scratch. If you buy pre-made salads, be sure to ask the counter server where the food was made and with what utensils. You need to confirm there is no cross-contamination from the grocery kitchen.

hummus
Hummus is gluten-free!

cheese
Cheese is gluten-free! If you buy sliced cheese at the deli counter be sure to ask the server to wipe down the slicer before handling your order.

salads
Vegetable salads are gluten-free! If you add protein to the salad (chicken, steak, shrimp) ask for it grilled. If it is marinated, confirm the marinade is gluten-free. Check for soy sauce, flour, or starch in the marinade.

Dinner

pasta varieties
Sam Mills is EXCELLENT (corn pasta)
Le Veneziane is EXCELLENT (corn pasta)

My Two Cents:  Corn pastas have the most texture and retain their structure. Rice pasta tends to get soft and gooey. If you cannot find Sam Mills or Le Veneziane, then look for products like Ronzoni gluten-free, Barilla gluten-free, or Quinoa gluten-free. Whole Foods also carries some gluten-free pastas made with red lentil beans, etc. if you want to be adventurous!

proteins (fish, chicken, steak, turkey, red meat, tofu, beans)
All proteins are naturally GF!
My Two Cents: If proteins are marinated, make sure any store-bought items are made without soy sauce and flour. If you prepare your own protein, then use GF soy sauce and/or GF flour.
